We’ve worked with these homeowners, Tim and Mary, on several home-renovation projects to transform their Charlotte, Vermont, home. First came three custom bathrooms. They were brave enough to have us remodel all three baths nearly concurrently. We did stagger the work, so they always had one functioning toilet and shower, but it was an intense undertaking, nonetheless.

Though their century-old barn was beautiful and majestic, it was also located in an inconvenient spot. We built a substantial new foundation, jacked up the barn, and repositioned it closer to the driveway. Finally, we patched the barn boards on the existing structure and build a garage addition off the driveway.

After all that, there was only project left on Mary’s wish list: the kitchen. She’s really the dream client. She knows what she wants, she has the time and desire to pick out finishes, and she understands the construction process (which makes sense after a barn and three bathrooms).

Tim and Mary are thrilled with the new kitchen. Though we didn't change the original galley design, we did make tweaks to improve the functionality and flow of the space. Most of the changes were aesthetic and Mary's eye for design and detail are evident in the results.
